• Strengthen regulations and registration to keep guns away from criminals, domestic violence offenders, and the mentally ill.

• Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.

• Ensure gun ownership carries training to match the responsibility of owning a firearm.

Strengthen Police/Community Relations

• Improve communications among police departments and prosecutors’ offices and their communities, set up processes that ensure they are answerable to their communities, and have inclusive recruiting policies. 

• Update police policies and training to better manage responses to minor crimes and mental health situations. 

• Increase the diversity of judges at all levels of our court system.
